Questions to put to an agency about its own ratings page

If an agency shows you a page full of reviews, it helps to ask a few plain questions before you rely on it. Here are five that work for any agency.

  1. Who built this page, and is it independent of you?
  2. Can I open the original review on the platform where it was posted?
  3. Where are the complaints, and what did you say in reply?
  4. How often are the numbers checked against the platform?
  5. Which review platforms are not shown here, and why?

One example of a page that tries to answer these is operated by Juris Digital, a law firm marketing agency in Denver. It collects the agency's public ratings and client feedback in one place, including criticism, and links to the original source for each. It is operated by Juris Digital and is not an independent review site.

You can read it here: jurisdigitalreviews.com/

The complaints are listed on their own page: jurisdigitalreviews.com/compla…

The method is explained here: jurisdigitalreviews.com/method…

This note quotes no ratings. A rating should be read on the platform that hosts it, not copied into a post. After you have read the company page, check at least one source the company does not control, and then ask your questions in a call.
